Artists for Puerto Rico's mission is to support Puerto Rico’s recovery and its future generations by helping to fund art and education initiatives. This year, AFPR is helping San Juan University High School's technology classroom which provides computer programming, robotics, and smart phone app programming classes which were severely impacted during Hurricane Maria.

Artists for Puerto Rico (“AFPR”) is a grassroots initiative by a collective of artists who felt compelled to lend their support to the people of Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane María. Founded by Eneida Cardona and Co-Creator Joe Castro—AFPR launched an online store ( ) that sells artist prints and other donated merchandise to help raise money for the relief effort of Puerto Rico.

On June 28 from 5 to 9 PM AFPR is celebrating ARTIST FOR PUERTO RICO SILENT AUCTION FUNDRAISER, a silent auction exhibition fundraiser event hosted by The Bronx Documentary Center with the generous support of the International Center of Photography, Dromahair Printing and Fiber Ink Studio, the Bronx Brewery, and Port Morris Distillery. The mission is to support Puerto Rico’s recovery and its future generations by helping to fund art and educational initiatives.

AFPR will be donating funds to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico.

A non-profit organization that offers after school programs and services to girls, boys and young people between the ages of 6 to 18 years. BGCPR offers a safe and creative place where children can develop to achieve their academic, personal and professional goals.


Thanks to an overwhelming amount of ongoing supporters—AFPR donated $1250.00 in cash plus over $500 in children books to the BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF PUERTO RICO. The cash funds will continue to support the purchase of books for the library of VIMENTI SCHOOL, the first tuition-free private school of its caliber to address the needs of at-risk communities. The art sale is ongoing on the AFPR site. The initiative will continue to raise funds towards educational and art initiatives in Puerto Rico.
